Sweetheart Freshwater Pearl and Swarovski Crystal Necklace

In this class you will learn to knot a freshwater pearl necklace, combined with Swarovski crystals, using pointed tweezers.

You’ll Learn:

Learn to knot freshwater pearls and Swarovski crystals with silk thread and tweezers;

Attach a lobster clasp and a closed jump ring to the ends of the necklace.

Technique: Pearl Knotting

Bring to Class:

Bead mat
Tools – pointed tweezers, scissors, awl (optional), jewellery-grade pliers
Task light, glasses/magnifier if needed.

Instructor will have a limited supply of tweezers to share or purchase; please bring all tools and any task light/magnifiers as required.

One strand of ivory rice freshwater pearls, Swarovski crystals, silk thread, sterling silver clamshells, sterling silver lobster clasp, sterling silver jump rings.

I have been creating jewellery for over 5 years, using various techniques. I find knotting pearls or gemstones relaxing and meditative. I teach various jewellery making techniques in the Toronto area and I love sharing my passion for jewellery making with other hobbyist and artists.
